Happy New Year!

What an energizing time the new year brings! I came home from a visit with my family ready to toss, scrub, air out, and redecorate (tra la la to the old red and green!).

Flying always seems to be a good time for me to grab a sketchbook and plan. As we sped through the crystalline, cold air between Oklahoma and Texas, with a nice tailwind for a change, I skimmed through Donna Kato's new book, The Art of Polymer Clay Creative Surface Effects. I was looking for inspiration, and whenever I looked at one of her wonderful layered polymer clay creations, I tried to envision how to do some similar project in glass. So today I have a long list of ideas to try, and actually a bit of time to spend on the torch experimenting.
