My first idea for adding cabochon bezels to the silver clay frontpiece didn't work quite as expected. I have a new idea to try this weekend, but thought I'd post the interim progress from last weekend since I've been negligent of the blog this week.
This is similar to the brooch, with hand-formed branches, leaves and bird spanning an opening. The faux bone insert is beveled on the edge to match. I have a faux bone back piece cut out and need to do a bit more filing to fit.
Sapphires or labradorites for the cabs, that is the next question.
