To say the least, I'm far behind on my Month of Earrings Challenge. When I gave myself two months to do thirty pairs, that seemed like plenty of time. Sometimes life intervenes.
Keeping busy helps with grief, however, so I'm back hard at work on earrings. Yesterday, I cut a new set of templates, then textured and cut a 28g pack of clay into ten sets of earrings plus a few extra pieces. They fired late last night.
Today I tumbled, added earwires and bezel cups, patinated and set stones into the first three pairs. Tomorrow, hopefully, I'll have time to finish the rest of this set and maybe even start a few more.
I'm not giving up! I have until April 1 to get fifteen more sets done.
My perusal of the Flickr files shows that only one person has already completely the challenge (I think). Congratulations to Carol Bradley on her achievement. She's entered into the drawing for a pair of my earrings. I love her last pair, made of etched copper and turquoise. Want a chance to win? Then get to work!
